My 2 Cents:  Now this is a very cool new interface that could have some really fun applications but it does seem to be pretty accurate in the video below :O)

Always on the lookout for bigger and better ways to faux-scratch a record with your PC, these students at Northeastern University have developed a human-computer interface that utilizes copper pads and our beloved theory of electrostatics.

Students build 3D computer interface using copper, felt, and lots of moxie

My 2 Cents:  Now here is another nice piece of technology what we should be seeing sooner rather than later.  There just seems to be so many different applications.

Paper Flexpeaker could change the way you perceive posters

Paper speakers go a long way back, but now finally seem close to making appearances in the real world. A few weeks ago it was researchers at the University of Warwick showing off their wispy wares, and now Taiwan’s Industrial Technology Research Institute is talking up its thin tweeters, called Flexpeaker

My 2 Cents:  I just don’t know why but i love seeing these new technologies come into the market all of them trying to be the best at Multi-Touch.  In my mind the one that moves ahead will not only be because of the hardware but also the software that it is run on.

Moto Labs touch screen

A new touch-screen tabletop computer display brings together the unlikely combination of technologies popularized by Apple and Microsoft.

It’s called the Scalable Multitouch display, and its touch technology is similar to the iPhone, but it would scale up from handheld device size to dimensions more like those of Microsoft’s Surface. The prototype measures just 19 inches right now, but it aspires to cover an entire 50-inch tabletop one day.

Back when we first caught a glimpse of the NanoTouch, we’ll freely admit that we thought it might be superb for small-scale gaming.

Hulu is in the process of developing an app for Apple’s (AAPL) iPhone and iPod touch, we have learned from a plugged-in industry executive. The app is coming soon (within a few months) and is “badass” — as excellent as Hulu’s Web site. Video will work over both wi-fi and 3G, we’re told.
